Második Máltán töltött napunkon 8:15-re kellett odaérnünk az úgy nevezett pick-up point-ra, ahonnan külön busszal szállítottak el minket az iskola épületébe. Innen nagyszerű kilátás nyílt a tengerre. Kis késéssel elkezdődött az oktatás az iskolában, ahol két csoportra osztottak minket. A csoportokat úgy osztották be, hogy közel egyenlő arányban legyenek benne magyar és román diákok is. Két másfélórás tanóra után bele is vágtunk a projektmunka előkészítésébe, melynek témája a fenntarthatóság, és diáktársainkkal együtt négy fős csoportokban kell dolgoznunk rajta. A program végén be kell majd mutatnunk egy 12 perces prezentáció keretein belül egy ötletet, amely egy Magyarországon és Romániában is aktuális problémára nyújt megoldást. Ez után lehetőségünk volt meglátogatni a fővárost, Vallettát. Egy idegenvezető segítségével megismerhettük a város legszebb nevezetességeit. Ilyen volt többek között a parlament, ahol rövid tájékoztatást kaptunk az ország választási rendszeréről, a szabadság emlékmű, ami Málta 1964-es függetlenedésének állít emléket, a barakka kert, ahonnan a legszebb a kilátás az egész szigeten, valamint Jean de la Valette szobra, ami a város névadójának emlékét őrzi. Ezután egy filmvetítésen vettünk részt, ahol mélyebb betekintést nyerhettünk az ország történelmébe. Délután 5 órától kezdve mindenki maga oszthatta be az idejét.

 

On the second day of our trip, we had to arrive at our so-called pick-up point until 8:15, from where we got brought to the building of teh school. The view to the sea was really spectacular from here. After a little bit of delay the classes started and we got split up to two groups. In the groups the number of Rumanian and Hungarian students were equal. After two lectures we started preparing the project work, which is about sustainability. We started working on them in groups of four with our classmates. As our final task we are going to have to present our idea in 12 minutes, which provides a solution for a present-day problem in Rumania and in Hungary as well. After that we had the opportunity to attend the capital city, Valletta. A tourist guide showed us the most beautiful sights of the city, such as the parliament where we got an insight to the election system in Malta, the memorial of liberty, which represents the independence of Malta, the baraka gardens, from where the view is the most impressive in the whole island, and the statue of Jean de la Valette, who the city got its name after. At the end of the obligatory programs, we watched a movie about the Maltese history. From 5 P.M. on everyone had the opportunity to spend the time at their will.
